Affouni time I think both of them are rather inexperienced with relationships...

For Affogato, I think he would have had crushes before, but they were always squashed before they could amount to anything, and any crush had in childhood before he started this routine was never confessed to either. Any romantic encounters were reserved for manipulating other people, and he couldn't run the risk of it being used against him.

For Cream Unicorn, again I do think they'd have crushes, but it was never the right circumstances. Back in the park's heyday, they were always so busy, running around addressing minor and major incidents alike. They barely had any time for the people they considered their friends, let alone time to work up the confidence to talk to a pretty face - especially with no certainty that they'd even return to the park.

Maybe a spare relationship or two scattered somewhere in their distant pasts, but nothing too serious.

So they've got a number of things to learn together.

Just gonna ramble, so please feel free to ignore my nonsense. But feel free to interact, I need more people to discuss with… on that note.

Considering that round 6+7 happened on the same day, which first off weird since 7 is supposed to be the final. Like it would make since if round 5+6 were on the same day (since they are semifinals) and 7 on another day leading up to it.

But like for the aliens, how does that pacing work? Like how much time has pass since this season of Alien Stage? In what way would this be profitable for them, this “quick” entertainment? Especially when there are fan favorites from the aliens, for them to end a contestant like that???

Like we have my precious boi, Ivan. He’s literally a model, ambassador, has a bunch of sponsorships, and from my understanding his alien guardian is a pretty high ranking one. (My poor baby, I know with r7, it’s basically reaffirmed that he’s dead (ignoring the fact that people from patreon stated that it was confirmed a while ago) but pls let him be alive somehow unless that entails more suffering for him (which I can think of plenty ways it could go) in which case nvm leave him be, since technically the way it ended was nice end for his story…)

Then we have Luka, who the aliens love like crazy. Like you can hear the screams of the crowd when he first enters the stage in r5. Plus the fact that the aliens would also hold up signs for him (like “Prince”. Like this sad poor manipulative pathetic ass 30 yrs old of a man have no privacy and is also constantly under a lot of attention and scrutiny. (Granted this mf-er is still alive and well, considering that r7 was probably rigged/a trap)

Till was also a pretty intriguing contestant. One that they label as a “Super Rookie”. And like his alien guardian (I’m assuming at the very least) is constantly bragging about him and his talents. Like if they did rigged r7 and he had let them do that cause the death of his pet, that’s like a slap to it’s face?!??

Plus, weren’t they trying to promote having “human pets” despite the general alien public concerns of human rebellion? Like that’s why they had Alien Stage be a thing, to promote the pets. But now they are here setting up a trap for the rebellion to be caught on 4D…

Pea planting!

Four varieties soaked overnight and ready to go. Two snow peas and two snap peas. No shelling peas because those are for people with more room (I find purchased frozen peas acceptable).

Here are the three 18" containers that need prepping. I've had them for 25 years now--they're workhorses.

Here are the DIY ollas I made a few years back that overwintered in the garden shed. I probably should have pulled them out yesterday to refresh the top paint, but too late now as the peas are soaked and ready.

First step is to dig a hole all the way to the bottom and place the olla.

Refill hole halfway. Sprinkle with slow-release fertilizer in the hole. It helps draw the roots in and down. Fill hole rest of the way and scratch additional fertilizer in the top. Or compost, I'm currently out and this fertilizer was free (via someone else's garage clean out in the fall). Fill ollas with clean water.

Install the pre-made DIY PVC trellises by banging them in with a rubber mallet until they hit the bottom.

Sow peas in furrows between the trellis legs. I'm ridiculously oversowing here for two reasons. One because usually I pre-sprout indoors to prevent the standard loss due to rot and thievery. I...forgot to do that and this week will be very warm so i'm not willing to wait. And two because pea sprouts are delicious which will take care of any extras. I don't need inoculant for these peas--I did it last year in these same containers so the bacteria should still be present in the soil. Note the pebble covering the fill hole of the olla to prevent mosquitoes and evaporation.

And finally a fine mesh bag (originally designed for dwarf fruit trees) to keep critters from digging up all the peas plus provide a modicum of insulation. It's only got one zipper so I do still need to just hoist the bag up for access to all three planters, but it keeps the squirrels and robins out.

It took me all day because my back's hurting and needed lots of breaks, but it's done. Yay!

Honestly? My main piece of advice for writing well-rounded characters is to make them a little bit lame. No real living person is 100% cool and suave 100% of the time. Everyone's a little awkward sometimes, or gets too excited about something goofy, or has a silly fear, or laughs about stupid things. Being a bit of a loser is an incurable part of the human condition. Utilize that in your writing.
